Senior Application/Tools Engineer
2 Positions of 3 to 6 years of experience range
2 Position for 8+ years if experience range
Location: Redwood City, CA
We are looking for a Software Engineer who is an expert at building maintainable and effective applications/tools for Ecommerce based open source technologies. Specifically, immediate projects revolve around:
• Semantic Web and Semantic Information Retrieval.
• Analytics and Machine Learning to be able to identify data patterns and execute appropriate classification, clustering and reporting
REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Significant Experience with SOA/SCA – e.g. Tuscany and/or Apache CXF and similar Service externalization frameworks.
· Significant experience with Application frameworks – Spring, MVC (Model View Controller) – Struts2 and/or JSF and/or Wicket and/or JBoss Seam. Familiarity with Process/Workflow automation frameworks.
· Good familiarity with multiple Web Stacks --‐ Java/JSP along with one other web--‐stack (Ruby on Rails, PHP, .NET etc.). Good experience with Application Server Deployment and Servlet capabilities (Tomcat), Web Servers (Apache – good understanding of httpd.conf and Apache modules)
· Good experience with Java Swing
· Programming languages: Expert at Java. Professional--‐grade fluency with any 2 of Ruby, Python, PHP, .NET.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work with the product team to understand requirements. Articulate approaches and zero in on chosen design and implementation.
· Implementation responsibility.
· Work with others in the engineering team to package functionality as Services and compose the application out of multiple services.
