Rate: $45/hrC2C

 

2 open needs for Embedded Software Engineers with experience in C++ and Communication Protocol Development (TCP/IP, RS232/RS485, J1939, OR CAN).  These are the main skills needed.  Projects are 12 months in length and could extend.  Location is Peoria, IL.  Candidates will interview with our Engineering group as well as the Manager of the client. 

These positions are ready to fill.  Here are the details I have:

 

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering or equivalent engineering degree.

 

- 3 or more years of experience developing embedded software.

- Ability to work in a team environment, communicating technical information and development progress to team members and others

- Telematics experience

- Communications protocol development experience (ie. TCP/IP, RS232/RS485)

- Proficient coding in C++

- Proficient using Clearcase

- Excellent troubleshooting skills

 

Desired_skills_qualifications:

 

- Linux Development / Debugging

- Automated testing and script development

- XMPP development experience

- Experience using GIT

- Microsoft Visual C++ IDE

- Experience with machine health/monitoring systems.

 

Additional experience and knowledge of tools:

- GCC compiler

- Rhapsody in C++
