Job Description:		A minimum of 10 years experience developing Object Oriented applications in a full SDLC environment for a financial services firm (i.e., institutional/retail brokerage, capital markets or asset management) or for a corporation that builds and licenses trading system software. • A minimum of 5years experience with integrating vendor applications and/or developing custom applications in support of Equity, Fixed Income or Derivative trading. • A minimum of 5 years experience having developed applications with Microsoft technologies: C#, ASP.NET, Java Script, JQuery, AJAX, SQL Server and LINQ • Working knowledge of: Equity, Fixed Income or Derivative trading, trades processing, or portfolio management is required. • Experience with systems or software engineering is a Plus. • Hands on experience with one or more development methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Prototyping, RAD, etc.). Experience with UML is a BIG plus. • B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or Electrical Engineering or a related quantitative discipline. • Graduate degree in Business, Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline is a BIG plus. • Strong analytical and communication skills. • Possess a strong work ethic, self-starter, creative, a focus on customer service, possess a high level of energy, enthusiasm, have good communication and people skills, team player, strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, commitment and appreciate the application of technology in support of our business Works collaboratively with IT staff on development, application support and other technical efforts. The candidate will be expected to be an active team member. • Evaluates and implements new initiatives on process improvement and technology initiatives. • Serves as SME in all aspects of systems / applications software technology and/or application components. • Resolves application and technical problems of the highest complexity. • Provides mentoring and training to junior staff. • Assists management in coordinating business area activities and balancing workload. • May design, implement and improve workflows.

 

The Trading Technology group within the Business Technology Services Division is responsible for providing technology services in support of vendor software integration and in-house custom builds of our trading platforms. We are embarking on a multi-phase effort to build-out and enhance our trading capabilities.
This position works closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, QA and Developers to develop and deploy high quality software within the governance of our SDLC process.
The manager is looking for candidates with Trading systems development experience. This is a requirement not a nice to have. They must have experience with:
• Trading systems development
• Fixed income trading system builds.
• How currency moved though a trading system
• Front, middle and back office logistics
• What goes into a trade order, what is a trade order.
• Candidate should be able to write technical specs
Try to pull from companies that building trading applications like SunGard.
