1 Network Security Engineer 60
Job Description:
We are seeking Cloud Network Security Engineer to play an active role in supporting Automation Systems network infrastructure. Perform required maintenance for installation, configuration, and updates to firewalls, load balancers and route/switch devices. Routinely troubleshoot network connectivity and stability issues with a virtualization focus. Interact
with internal teams to serve as the Networking SME for cloud environments. Responsible for provisioning, routing, and documenting IP address allocations for customer equipment, uses various 3rd party tools to monitor and address issues within our environment.
Responsibilities:
- Works on most complex networking issues and serves as highest level of escalation.
- High volume work with varying degrees of complexity.
- Mentor and act as primary escalation point for Cloud Products
- Serves as SME and Trainer to Network Security Administrators.
- Heavily contributes to central store of knowledge.
- Receives little to no instruction on day-to-day work.
- Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- In addition to the requirements for Level III, Expert level understanding and knowledge at implementing, configuring, and
troubleshooting complex Load Balancer configurations.
- Requires Load Balancing experience and the ability to engineer these solutions
- Expert level ability to troubleshoot complex customer configurations from end to end including application specific issues.
- Consultant level customer point of contact.
- Ability to recognize, mitigates, and troubleshoots DDOS attacks.
- Advance experience in using common network industry accepted tools for troubleshooting and managing various network devices.
- Must demonstrate ability to learn and become proficient at using Client specific tools for configuring, deploying and managing network devices.
- Expert ability to recognize and remediate network issues up to and including the server OS level (Linux, Windows, Xenserver).
- Ability to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
- Ability to engineer and throubleshoot solutions utilizing OSPF/BGP Routing protocols
- Ability to apply varying leadership skills and traits that create solutions and results to unexpected situations.
- Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex
issues in creative and effective ways.
- Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups.
- Ability to provide FANATICAL support.
- At least 4+ years of experience relative to the skill set and knowledge area above.
- Cisco professional level certifications required.
- In addition, one elected CCSP/CCNP track exam.
- Associate¹s Degree in Networking preferred.
- Potential to be on call and work weekends.
2. Windows Engineer 55/hr
Job Description:
Expected to provide a high level of technical support for Automation Services infrastructure. A Senior System Administrator is the owner of complex customer issues which may take several days or weeks to resolve. The SSE applies create problem-solving techniques to identify the source of problems; while at the same time keeping the customer aware of every step along the way via the ticketing system. A Senior System Administrator is expected to use imitative and advise on potential pitfalls that a customer may experience, using existing or planned methods, and suggest alternatives that may better serve the stability and security of the customer¹s solution. Proposes and implements system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Manages the load configuration of a central data communication processor and makes recommendations for purchase or upgrade of data networks. Coordinates terminal orders, network system planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing and servicing. Defines, designs and implements network communications and solutions using the Windows system. Responsible for solving customer's technical issues which can include OS level, webserver, database server, applications server, DNS, SMTP or other software issue.
Responsibilities:
* Expert troubleshooting of the Windows OS, IIS, SQL and other applications.
* Provides consulting service to customer on building solutions to meet customer needs.
* Responsible for technical aspect of customer visits both in the office and at customer locations, includes presentations.
* Ensures customer satisfaction with follow ups.
* Handles level-appropriate customer support requests via the ticket system.
* Creates and maintains customer loyalty by serving customers above and beyond their expectations.
* Exercises judgment in decision-making in order to routinely deliver FANATICAL customer support.
* Due to the 24x7 operations of the business, must be able to work a
flexible work schedule, may include nights, weekends, holidays, etc.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* Uses skills as a seasoned experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures;resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
* Excellent knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 server, IIS 5 & 6, activedirectory, DNS, SMTP, and TCP/IP.
* Excellent knowledge of DNS, including diagnostics with Windows system tools.
* Continually expands knowledge in the areas of new developments and trends; may make recommendations to management on desirable additions and developments.
* MCSA or MCSE certification preferred.
* Knowledge/experience with virtualization technologies:
- hardware planning
- resource planning/inventory
- host/guest system optimizations
- Experience with Chef
* Experience with storage technologies:
- SAN/DAS
- LocalStorage
- RAID configurations
- Drive types (SSD/SAS/SATA/nlSAS)
