Role: Senior Project Manager
Location: Los Angeles, CA.
Duration: 9+ month
Responsible for leadership and execution of a new data warehousing / business intelligence program. Involves managing large, global, cross-functional projects that require coordination of multiple stakeholders. Lead the entire aspect of each managed project: not only technology implementation, but also management of budget, communications of impacts to users, and setup of post-implementation support and incident management. Daily responsibilities will include managing client relationships, coordinating work with technical team, reviewing and implementing project delivery process improvements, stabilizing our system foundations (documentation, support artifacts, etc.). We need a project manager who can effectively manage projects while also taking on tasks as necessary to see work through. Must have strong client-facing skills as well as ability to effectively manage the IS team. Will work with clients to scope, define, and prioritize works as well as work with team to provide effort estimates. Responsible for ensuring all projects within IT portfolios/programs are delivered on time, within budget and to an agreed quality level.
The top 4 skills that we are looking for include:
1) Strong project management fundamentals. PMP preferred.
2) Experience in managing business intelligence and / or data architecture related projects
3) Ability to manage projections from inception through transition, including successful hand-off to support teams
4) Ability to manage multiple systems-related projects and work in a very fast paced environment while also effectively transitioning projects to support team in the implementation phase.
The business driver for this position is to fill a resource and capability gap that has widened with the increasing amount of demand for business intelligence within the Clinical Development business function.
