Peoplesoft Functional Payroll consultant

Location: Houston, TX, United States

Duration : 2-3 months

Rate: Open

Client is on HCM 9.1. so a candidate with 9.1 will have preference by the client.

Job responsibilities :

A highly experienced PeopleSoft 9.1 payroll functional expert responsible for the below

Providing PeopleSoft functional support to the Payroll department
Setting up configuration tables
Troubleshooting payroll error messages
Capture business requirements/enhancements and setup detailed functional design documents
Work with developer to deliver the requirements (coding or reporting requirements) and thoroughly test the results and work with business users to get their approval and coordinate the implementation of the changes
Responsible for implementing payroll tax updates, including testing and coordinating with different teams (PeopleSoft administrator, developer, Payroll users, etc)
Basic troubleshooting of the Time and Labor issues to make sure all the time got into Payroll and fix any issues
Knowledge transfer to internal staff

Required skills :

Minimum 5 years PeopleSoft Payroll functional experience.

· 2 years experience in 9.0 or higher versions

Experience in PeopleSoft Time and Labor is strongly preferred
Solid understanding of the entire Payroll processes, underlying configuration tables, transaction tables, year-end processes and reporting.
Good understanding of the integration of PeopleSoft Time and Labor to Payroll
Understanding of Benefits components within Payroll (i.e. Benefit deductions)
Strong understanding of the GL interface jobs
Clear and effective communication skills
Strong analytical skills
