Need Senior Business Analyst @ NC

Hi,

 

We have an urgent requirement with our direct client for a Business Analyst with COTS experience

 

Contractor: Business Analyst

Location: Raleigh, NC

Duration: 6+ months

Start date: 18^th June 2012

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 

• High level of understanding both business processes & developing best method to implement these business processes in software:

o Testing background

o Background in system implementation

o Training dev background

 

• Summarize & explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical/business team members.

• Facilitating mtgs with cross-functional teams, and manage the group dynamics.

• Develop, establish & maintain effective working relationships /partnerships with customers by responding to needs & exhibiting a sense of urgency

• Utilize technical understanding of computer programs & apps to develop detailed system documentation, workflow procedures, and training materials.

• Conduct gap analyses between the application functionality desired by the clients and the out-of-the-box functionality of the COTS app.

• Coordinate testing efforts & document test cases & executed test results. Interpret, track and communicate business needs, processes, and testing issues between the client org & the COTS vendor.

• Assist with Go-Live activities, Post-Implementation issues, and Roll-out activities

• Train Staff & Testers on COTS applications

• Work independently to ensure that project activities are completed accurately and timely.

• Business process analysis (Use Cases and/or process flows) and mapping (Gap Analysis) techniques.

• Publishing documents (e.g. requirements, test cases, training materials) output from typical IT projects.

• Testing IT applications against business process

• Managing testing efforts

• Implementation activities such as data conversion, system configuration settings, security setup, etc.

• Highly skilled in Microsoft productivity tools such as Word, Excel

• Excellent Communication Skills (written and oral)

 

Preferred:
• Exp with Vocational Rehab, Services for the Blind, or Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• Exp with Case Management Apps
• Exp implementing Vendor Pkgs
