.Net Developer

Location: Rockville, MD

Duration:- 6+ months

Rate : 50-52/hr C2C

No. of Position:-3

Client: Theracom!

We want to know the number of years experience and how they rate themselves in the below technologies:

1)      ASP.Net

2)      .Net version they have worked with

3)      SQL 2005/2008

4)      C# .Net

5)      Web service experience if they have (not required)

6)      SSRS and SSIS experience

 

Under general direction of the Manager – Software Development, contributes to the software design and development activities for the AmerisourceBergen Consulting Services). Designs, documents, tests, and modifies current and new software development applications; reviews requirements documents and helps to develop solutions in order to meet these requirements. Leads the effort in developing specifications and designs for development projects as well as contributes to specific assignments. Performs activities requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Contributes effectively as a member of the team; takes ownership of individual assignments and projects.
  2. Develops, codes and unit tests design solutions.
  3. Leads and participates in writing and reviewing software functional specifications and design reviews.
  4. Creates detailed designs, performs analyses, creates prototypes, and documents completed designs.
  5. Mentors and directs the efforts of more entry-level Engineers.
  6. Provides third tier support when required.
  7. Contributes to the development and achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
  8. Participates in activities such as reviewing marketing requirements.
  9. Functions as task, project, or team leader when assigned; represents the organization on project teams and may perform technical project leadership roles while fostering teamwork and collaboration within and across work groups.
  10. Provides input for Software Development budgeting and scheduling.
  11. Provides input for Software Development software and hardware purchases.
  12. Performs related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of four (5) to seven (7) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Technical Skills & Experience

1.       Microsoft.NET including C# / VB.NET

2.       Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS

3.       Microsoft Office, Excel

4.       Web Development (HTML, HTTP)

5.       Web Services and related technologies (SOAP, XML)

Preferred Technical Skills & Experience

1.       Data Distribution and Data Processing (using Microsoft SSIS)

2.       Reporting (using Microsoft SSRS, Crystal Reports)

3.       Visual Basic 6

4.       Health Care Services and related technologies and regulations

5.       Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

 

Other Skills & Experience

  1. Thorough knowledge and understanding of business principles, processes and technology
  2. Knowledge of physical database structures; ability to analyze, manage, tune databases for performance; knowledge of relational database concepts; disaster recovery; best practices
  3. Good analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
