Senior Project Manager
Location: Merrimack, NH
Duration: :6 months with high probability for extension

As Senior Project Manager, will manage the technology projects in a matrix environment and provide the necessary leadership and administrative responsibilities to the development team. This person will also be responsible for variety of project management activities including; project initiation and planning, estimation, budgeting, creating detailed project plans, communication with stakeholders. The successful candidate will partner with business sponsors and technology representatives in establishing priorities and provide overall direction on technology initiatives from project inception to project completion. The scope of responsibilities will range from managing broad, complex, cross divisional technology projects to managing general, less complex, targeted organizational technology projects. The candidate will also manage relationships to provide ongoing customer service.
Main duties and responsibilities:
· Project management - develop, execute, report on project plans and coordination of development resources across a matrixed organization (w/shared services & offshore)
· Uniform adoption and rollout of agile methodology and best practices across all projects
· Adoption and use of tools/technologies consistent with enterprise standard technology stack
· Strategic planning - play a major contributing role in formulating IT strategy and product model roadmap for the division
· Working in a matrix organization. Coordinate with BA, QA and DB teams
· Client engagement - work with business partners to build solutions that will support the current and future business needs
Requirements:
· BS in a technology or business related discipline
· PMP certification desired
· 8-11 years of industrial experience in a development organization with a minimum of 4 as a project manager over development efforts
· Extensive experience and knowledge of financial domain, especially with Fixed Income securities, MBS, CMBS, etc.
· Outstanding people skills - strong partner and collaborator. Demonstrated capability of collaborating coordinating and working with senior level business executives
· Strong Project management and people management skills
· Formal project life-cycle methodology experience by delivering multiple end to end projects
· Demonstrated ability to balance priorities of simultaneous projects
· Hands on experience with all phases of project including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, etc.
· Proven influence and negotiation skills
· Conflict resolution - understands how to mitigate /resolve conflict across groups
· Self -motivated, self-directed, results oriented
· Ability to work in a matrix and fast pace environment
· Strategic thinker - demonstrated ability to think big and broad, set target state, establish roadmap for getting there
