Description

Skills

-          Install/configure/upgrade  HPUX 11.11 and above

-          Install/configure/manage VSOE 4.30 and above

-          HPUX Service Guard Clustering and LVM fluency

-          HPUX/Linux monitoring/tuning/troubleshooting skills

-          Good grasp of TCP/IP fundamentals

-          File system maintenance (growing volumes, etc.)

-          Utilization of various storage protocols/connectivity (EMC SAN, NFS)

-          Strong general Unix admin skills, including scripting in shell, perl, python

-          Excellent documentation ability

-          Good communicator

-          Works with minimal supervision 

Optional but good to have:

-          Enterprise-level Linux (RedHat,CentOS,Ubuntu, etc.) system administration skills highly desirable

-          HPUX Ignite-UX Disaster Recovery experience

-          Familiarity with HPUX DRD (Dynamic Root Disk)

-          EMC storage experience (integration, design, management, etc.) is a plus.

-          Config management experience

-          Monitoring system design, implementation, and operation

-          EMC Networker operational experience

-          Oracle database integration experience

System security experience
