Job Description :

Seeking a Cognos Administrator for a contract position in the Dallas area. The candidate will define and architect the best practices of a Cognos BI Infrastructure. The candidate will also coordinate operational designs, develops support plans and provides support for applications.

• Installation, configuration and administration of Cognos 10 in Linux/Unix, multi-tier, virtual server and Windows environment.
• Support Cognos production environment for large scale user base
• Develop and maintain metadata layer in Cognos Framework Manager.
• Migrate and deploy application code in multiple environments.
• Cognos capacity planning and performance management.
• Monitor Cognos environment for usage and performance metrics.

• Available on call support for Production issues

• Provide leadership and vision for best usage and practices with regards to Cognos tool set.
• Setting standards and guidelines for BI development.

• Mentor other team members for knowledge transfer
• Linux/Unix

Experience with DataStage would be a plus
