Need Senior System Analyst @ WA

Hi,
 
We have an immediate requirement with our direct client for a Senior Systems Analyst
 
Position: Senior Systems Analyst
Location: Olympia, Washington
Duration: 18 months
 
Required -- At Least 5 years of experience in the following:
·           Acting as the key liaison to ensure business needs are translated into technical specifications.
·           Using information engineering methods.
·           Using object oriented analysis and design methods (OOAD).
·           Identifying and documenting business needs and strategies.
·           Identifying and documenting requirements for business process improvement and information systems development projects.
·           Facilitating requirements planning and analysis & design sessions.
·           Completing data models using entity relationship diagrams and/or UML class diagrams and documenting detailed data requirements in data dictionaries.
·           Proficiently creating SQL Scripts to be used for database creation and/or modification and migration of legacy data to new designs.
·           Expertise in fully developing System Requirements Specification (SRS), Functional Specifications, and/or Use Case documentation
·           Documenting system functions and systems operational procedures.
·           Contributing to project management tasks including planning and preparing scoping, estimating, analysis, design, cost benefit analysis, and feasibility studies.
·           Requirements management techniques and practices.
·           Using GUI tools for prototyping UI designs, user navigations, user profiles, user security/access.
·           Specifying business logic and business rules.
·           Guiding and providing mentoring for State staff.
·           Knowledge and experience with system development methodologies (i.e. Agile, RUP, etc.).
·           Understanding of software development lifecycle.
·           Performing test phase management: Test Planning, Test Team Management, Test Case/Script Development, Defect Management & Tracking, Test Environment Coordination, Test Metrics & Reporting, and managing/coordinating the test data repositories
·           Performing Test phase management in both Mainframe and Web (DotNet) development environment
·           Performing Test phase management in various SDLCs (Agile, SCRUM, RUP, Water-fall)
·           Performing data model designing into conceptual and logical relational data models.
·           Engaging and working with Database Administrators and Database designers to understand cardinality, normalization, data states, and information security & access control
·           Developing SQL scripts for loading or converting data tables or creating or modifying test databases.
·           Directing programmers and analysts to make changes to data base management systems.
·           Reviewing and correcting programs. Answering user questions.
·           Systems Analyst must have some knowledge and experience with the software development lifecycle and associated deliverables related to Agile and Waterfall SDLCs.
·           Systems Analyst must have some exposure to developing technical specifications for system changes and improvements.
·           Systems Analyst must have some exposure to effectively communicating information for the purpose of having others learn, understand and apply specific principles, techniques or information.
·           Systems Analyst must have some exposure to researching, developing, implementing, testing, documenting, monitoring and maintaining individual systems for the purpose of supporting and enhancing business functions.
 
Desirable Knowledge & Understanding:
·           Designing, testing, and implementing multiple tier business applications and systems in distributed multi-user environments.
·           Designing, testing and implementing relational databases, including a full understanding of SQL scripting, using MS SQL Server, ADABAS or other database engines in common use today. 
·           Microsoft DotNet and J2EE or other mainstream integrated development environments and tool sets.
·           Provide guidance, peer mentoring and knowledge transfer for State staff, have a full understanding of testing processes & procedures, and be willing to work within the agency's configuration management process.
·           Familiarity with Team Foundation Server & SharePoint
