Need Sr. Business Analyst with LEAN or Six Sigma cerification

We have an immediate requirement with our direct client for a Senior Business Analyst.  Candidates who hold an active certificate in LEAN or Six Sigma are preferred

Position: Senior Business Analyst

Location: Olympia, Washington

Duration: 7 months

Start Date: 1/23

Required Skills:

a)      Three or more years experience facilitating business (non-IS) managers and staff in defining business processes and the associated business rules.  Included in this must be improving the efficiency of the business processes and workflow as well as documenting the new business processes.  Demonstrated ability to move this work forward quickly without undue disruption of work by those participating or frustrating managers and participants due to the length of the process.  Demonstrated experience making adjustments to the process documents and gaining acceptance sign-off.

b)      Five years working with software managers and developers such that the IT Analyst has a thorough understanding of the software design and development process and the issues faced by software developers.

c)      Five years experience in formally documenting business processes and functional requirements/specifications that are complete enough for software developers to code from. This is to include at least 6 months experience formally documenting Use Cases and Work flows.

d)     Five or more years experience working with IS staff in documenting data elements associated with business processes.

e)      Five or more years experience developing formal software testing plans, with the ability to evaluate test scripts and recommend improvements.  Working understanding preparing or "conditioning" data required for repeatable test execution.

f)       Documented history of working successfully both independently (self motivated) and collaboratively in project teams to deliver assigned work on time.

g)      Demonstrated history of having a positive, solution focused work style. 

h)     Demonstrated expert-level communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience making formal presentations to levels of staff ranging from executives to technical IT teams.

 

Preferred Skills:

a)      More than 6 months experience creating data models using a tool such as ERwin.

b)      Experience working with software vendors who provide Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) systems and customize those systems to meet customer needs.

c)      Holds an active certificate in LEAN or Six Sigma.
