Position: Linux/Unix Admin
Duration: Long term
Location: Denver, CO
Interview: SKYPE

Unix/Linux Sys Admin:

• Trouble shooting network and operating system level(Linux) issues with the interactive TV applications (Linux/Unix administration      experience )
• Build and Deploy the itv applications in the staging environments
• Prepare and Execute performance test cases and help with performance tuning in the Staging environment.
• Prepare and Execute failover test cases for all the new iTV projects in the staging environment.
• Develop monitoring and alarming scripts in Nagios in support of all iTV applications (for new request and initiatives)
• Ensure that end-to-end audit trail is available for all the current and new iTV apps.
• Develop necessary sqls for operational reporting and feeding operational Dashboards.
• Develop necessary sqls for troubleshooting production issues.
• Develop necessary production support scripts to schedule and maintain the new applications
• Develop and Deploy uC4 jobs and Job plans for new and existing iTV applications.
• Create Run pages for the alarms in Nagios and also help documenting production process flows.

 Additional notes:

Experience in working with VIP/Load balancer team and involve in issue resolution.
Experience in analyzing packet capture and recommending solutions.
Good knowledge in Unix/Shell scripting
Good Server side knowledge
Experience in Monitoring tools
