Salesforce Project Manager, Santa Clara, CA 6 mths+

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Define project scope, plans, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.

• Effectively communicate and manage project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

• Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.

• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

• Track project milestones and deliverables.

• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.

• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

• Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.

• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

• Effectively manage communication and stakeholder engagement planning and execution across a global team

• Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans

• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

 

• Knowledge and experience in implementing Salesforce.com is required. Experience implementing SFDC AppExchange solutions also required. The successful applicant will have implemented an SFDC solution from beginning to end at least once.

 

• Overall 8+ years of project management experience – excellent project management skills are a must.

• Experience managing integration vendors/partners such as Deloitte, Accenture, etc. required.

• Prior experience managing an SFDC project is a big plus.

• Prior insurance, auto industry experience essential.

• Four-year degree/diploma in the field of computer science, information systems, engineering or equivalent.

• PMP certification is a plus but not required.

• Previous consulting experience required. Big Six/Four experience desirable.

• MBA or master's degree is a plus but not required.

• Experience managing $2M+ projects and to a budget required.

• Excellent client-management and facilitation skills a must.

• Ability to influence, persuade and elicit cooperation from a variety of stakeholders is essential. Political savvy is very important.

• Ability to conceptualize and frame a problem and corresponding solution(s) critical.
