Interview mode-Skype. Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for developing ETL specifications in a Ab Initio , UNIX, Teradata, SQL environment.•Strong programming background and knowledge of Warehouse concepts/methodologies, preferably an object oriented language •UNIX basic, command line experience •At least 3 years of experience in the role •3 years in Ab-Initio Data or Informatica Warehousing environment •3 years in ETL Data Warehousing environment •Advanced SQL skills complex query experience, ANSI standards •Background and knowledge of Warehouse concepts/methodologies, preferably an object oriented language (1-2 years with Teradata preferred) •Review and understand data specifications and physical data models in order to write extract, transform and load (ETL) code and construct ETL components. •Thoroughly unit test ETL code to ensure it is free of errors. Document the results of unit testing prior to hand off of tested ETL code to the Quality Assurance department •Facilitate cross-functional problem solving sessions to arrive at optimal solutions accounting for stakeholder needs (e.g. business requirements and delivery dates) to ensure successful project delivery. •Develop schedule specifications to automate and optimize ETL job workflow (using the Control-M Job Scheduling Software) that can be supported in a production environment and meet established service level agreements (SLA) with stakeholders. Requirements: •Must have 5 years Ab Inition experience. •Must have 3 years experience as a BI/DW Analyst. •Must have 3 years SQL experience. •Must have a strong programming background and knowledge of Warehouse concepts and methodologies. •Must have 3 years experience in the design, development, deployment and support of ETL processes. •Must have UNIX and Teradata experience.
