REQUIRMENT:

Associate Systems Engineer
Location: Manassas, VA

Duration: 6 Months

Description:
Participate in the definition, development, delivery and maintenance activities of our core FIN application. As a Systems Engineer you will be part of a team that is designing, developing, testing and supporting software solutions on HP-UX environments.

Your responsibilities will be to:
Gain understanding of customer requirements and dependencies between modules
Create/use tools and implement tests routines to exercise/validate logic
Conduct benchmarks to measure system performance and diagnose problems
Discuss problems and possible solutions with more senior team members.
Contribute in the preparation of systems specifications and test plans and reports
Provide technical assistance to other SWIFT colleagues in their daily work.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 3.2 GPA or more.
Strong analytical skills
Any relevant practical experience (e.g. internships) is an asset
Technical knowledge and skills preferable
OS: UNIX (HP-UX) and Windows
Programming languages: C/C++, Java, scripting languages (ksh, perl)
Databases: Oracle
Good communication skills
A good team spirit, a pro-active mindset and an effective approach to achieve objectives
