Need COBOL Developer @ NC

 

 

 

We have a requirement with our direct client for a COBOL Developer.

 

Contract Position: COBOL Developer

Location: Raleigh, NC

Duration: 12+ months

Start Date: 1st Oct. 2012

 

Skills /Experience Required

·         Knowledge of and Minimum of three (3) years experience in business application development including extensive hands-on experience with, COBOL, JCL, CICS and VSAM

·         Endevor Source Management Application

·         Mainframe batch FTP processes

·         Knowledge of and ability to create JCL and write COBOL Batch and CICS programs that access VSAM

files

·         Experience working with large datasets across multiple platforms

·         Ability to demonstrate the capability to determine the best implementation for enhancements to legacy systems

·         Possess proven communications skills, both written and verbal

·         Ability to take direction as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team on assigned tasks.

 

NOTE:

Preference will be given to the candidate with demonstrated experience in the development and support of mainframe programs for GUIDE Unemployment Insurance Benefit Payment System
