Contract Position: Sr java/J2ee Developer
Location: Lansing, MI
Duration: 3 years
Start date: Sep 4 2012
Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
Software Engineer capabilities with 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of complicated tasks, may lead and direct the work of others, may report directly to a project lead or manager, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
The Resource needs good working experience with Java/Struts/Spring/Hibernate & Oracle as an application framework to maintain and/or modernize legacy business applications.
Skills –Experience Required
· Candidate must meet the basic qualifications of 8 or more years of generic IT experience
· 8 years experience developing complex computer systems in Java/J2EE (Servlets, JSP, EJB, JDBC, Hibernate, iText, Tiles & jUnit) using an IDE such as Eclipse or RAD
· 7 years experience developing complex computer systems using the STRUTS Framework
· 5 years experience working directly with a system owner to gather maintenance &/or enhancement requirements, to produce design specifications and coordinate testing (including UAT)
· 5 years experience writing in SQL
· 5 years experience writing database stored procedures and functions using PL/SQL (Oracle)
· 2 years experience designing and creating database objects
