Description

 

The AP Automation Project Manager will be accountable for day-to-day execution of the implementation of a AP invoice imaging and workflow solution to integrate with Oracle EBS.  The project manager will be responsible for managing scope, issues, risks, timeline and budget to ensure efficient and successful execution of the AP Automation project.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Provide direction to project team members (on scope, sequencing/ prioritization of work, approach, etc.)
• Track and escalate (as needed) progress, issues, risks and costs
• Manage communication with the project Steering Committee and Business Sponsor(s)
• Schedule and conduct status meetings and stage gate review meetings
• Manage vendors engaged in the project
• Ensure change control  & other Vertex standard procedures are followed

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:          

 

§         Deep experience with IT Project Management and System Development Life Cycle

§         Oracle eBusiness Suite experience (11.5.10 or 12.x preferred)

§         Functional and/or technical experience with at least some of the following EBS modules:  Financials, Payables and Purchasing

§         Functional and/or technical experience with designing future state business processes and with implementing an automated content management and workflow solution

§         Strong communication, interpersonal, influence and collaboration skills

§         Solid analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills

§         MS-Office proficiency – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project

                                                                                                                           

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

§         B.S. and 7+ years relevant work experience

§         PMP certification a plus

§         Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
