.NET DEVELOPER

Location: Richmond, VA

Duration: contract to hire 6 month

Status: EAD/GC/USC

 

The Web Development Consultant will implement exciting web solutions using Microsoft technologies and must have the ability to work independently or as part of a team to provide customer delight.  The candidate should demonstrate a dedicated work ethic, passion for our customers and the discipline to prioritize and manage multiple projects.   Candidate must have excellent programming abilities with core technologies such as Visual Studio .NET, ASP .Net, SQL Server 2008, HTML, XML, CSS & JavaScript.

·         Developing web applications, web services and general applications on the .NET 2.0/3.5/4.0 framework

·         Assisting with project planning and requirement specifications

·         Working directly with customers in an advisory capacity, including recommending system changes and enhancements

·         Documenting software specifications and training users

·         Coordinating work with cross-functional team leaders and reporting on project status

·         Mentoring junior or mid-level developers

·         Capable of working in a delivery focused environment and being responsible for meeting deadlines

·         Self-sufficient, able to work effectively when given high level directions, comfortable in ambiguous circumstances

·         Eager to “wear multiple hats,” i.e. not only develop but analyze, design, test, deploy, and train

 

Knowledge and Skills Required:

·         3+ years of C# .NET experience

·         Experience in all areas of the SDLC

·         Understanding of how to develop in an n-tier architecture, experience developing in all layers and tiers of an application

·         Experience with Web Services and/or WCF Services

·         SQL Server development (stored procedures, functions, etc..) & TSQL syntax

·         .NET web application deployment and troubleshooting experience

·         Flexibility to meet the needs of a customer

·         Very good interpersonal and communication skills

·         Ability to learn quickly, ability to learn on your own, self-motivated

·         SharePoint 2007/2010 development or administration experience a plus

·         .Net Framework 4.0 experience a plus

·         Business analysis skills a plus

·         Consulting background a plus
