Need Senior Mainframe Programmer @ WA

We have a requirement with our direct client for Mainframe Programmers with experience with Natural and ADABAS. Please read through the requirement below and send only candidates who match the requirement.

 

Contractor Required: Mainframe Programmers

Location: Olympia, Washington

Duration: 12 months

 

Required Technical Qualifications

 

A. Current mainframe development experience with a high degree of expertise in modular programming construction using all of the following:

1. Natural and ADABAS,

2. CICS,

3. JCL,

4. CA7,

5. VSAM,

6. Clist,

7. COBOL,

8. TSO, and

9. IOF.

 

B. Experience, skills and abilities in:

1. Consulting with business area customers and IT staff to determine options for solutions to technical problems through detailed analysis.

2. Communication of recommendations through formal written analysis or oral presentations.

3. Consulting on complex service delivery process improvements.

4. Developing work plans, and coordinating and tracking complex projects or assignments.

5. Needs assessments

6. Requirements analyses

7. Coordination of stakeholders

8. Project or work assignment reporting and documentation

9. Business analysis

10. Systems development/modification 1

1. Microsoft suite of desktop tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Project

12. Analysis, design, development and verification in the IBM mainframe environment.

 

Desired Technical Qualifications

A. Experience developing mainframe applications that interface with web applications through messaging technologies.

B. Previous experience developing and/or maintaining or interfacing with the following types of applications:

1. Claims management business applications

2. Medical Billing systems

3. Insurance premium/Actuarial calculation systems

C. Experience with Web and N-Tier application development
