REQ: SAS Predictive Modeler / Data Prep Consultant

Job Request for

SAS Predictive Modeler / Data Prep Consultant

 Contract Start / End Date

Start: ASAP - within weeks of being selected.

End:  Approximately 4 months from start, but could be extended.

Work Location:

On-Site in Torrance, CA (near LA).  (100% on-site.)

Primary Skill Set and Job Description

Background:

The Customer currently uses BASE SAS to query large data sources. The programs use a combination of SQL and SAS Procedures to perform ETL processes and then summarizations. The summarizations are stored in SAS tables which then get put into Excel. From Excel, PowerPoint presentations are created to tell a "story" about the data.

The customer leverages Enterprise Guide (EG) and is using Enterprise Miner (EM) to develop predictive models which consist of decision trees, logistic and linear regressions.

The Consultant should leverage Base, EG & EM in order to be able to perform the entire lifecycle of data analysis including:  all data access and ETL; all descriptive statistical analyses; Predictive Modeling and Assessment; taking results or models and descriptive statistics and presenting a storyline to non-analytical audience.

The Consultant must have clear English speaking skills.

Note:  Unrelated to the skills the Consultant must have, the Customer currently has an initiative underway to implement SAS EBI in order to productionalize and automate many of the reporting programs that are being used currently.
