Laurel, NJ Duration 3 Months+ Rate $50-55/hr Interview Direct F2F   Description Cognos 8 or Cognos 10 Developer Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Build and jumpstart departments reporting and dashboarding efforts. Design and architect analytical and reporting solutions. Design and develop Cognos Reports. Design and develop BI Dashboards. Follow Agile Methodology and participate in scrum calls. Work hand in hand with business analysts. Performs special projects and other duties as may be assigned. Required Experience, Skills and Education: 4 to 7 years programming experience and a demonstrated proficiency in Cognos report development, Cognos Framework Manager and Cognos Report Studio development techniques and platforms. Basic PL/SQL experience. Excellent problem-solving skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills which facilitate working in a team environment and interfacing with customers. Ability to mentor other technical developers. Experience in Cognos BI: Framework Manager, Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio, Event Studio Strong knowledge on Dashboards creation, Master-detail reports, Scheduling, Bursting, Graphs and Conditional Formatting. Oracle Knowledge is an added advantage.
