Location: Tallahassee FL

Duration: 4 Months thru end of 2012 then extension thru 2013

 

 

Position Summary:

 

This position will lead and perform database tasks for the analysis, design, development, and testing of SQL Server Replication in a SQL Server 2008 R2 installation.

Essential Functions:　

Leads and performs database development and administration tasks for the analysis, design, development, and testing of SQL Server Replication in a SQL Server 2008 R2 installation.

Works and communicates with a Data Warehouse team to integrate the SQL Replication processes with new and existing data integration processes.

Works and communicates with the Development Database and IT Infrastructure teams to follow best practices and implement the SQL Replication　 processes in Development, Test and Production environments.

 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization verbally and in writing; translates business terms into technical decisions and strategies and vice versa

Experience in providing leadership to other personnel in a fast-paced IT development environment

Strong knowledge or SQL Server 2008 RDBMS

Strong knowledge of SQL Server Replication

Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field OR 4 years relevant experience OR combination of college education and relevant experience to substitute for degree

3 years experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 RDBMS database administration

3 years experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 SQL Replication development and implementation

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 RDBMS database administration

5 years experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 SQL Replication development and implementation

2 years experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 in a Virtual environment, preferrably VMWare
