Job Title: Front End developer lead

Location: NY

Duration: 6 week (Possible long term ext)

Rate: Market

Must be local to NY, NJ

Front-End development team lead

Responsibilities

· Responsible for the overall development of front-end deliverables for assigned projects.

· Meet and liaise with clients face to face to discuss projects and potential engagements

· Communicate status of projects and issues with Sr. Management.

· Manage and mentor junior team members

· Set and ensure coding standards are met and delivered.

· Hands on development as required.

· Must be detail oriented and deliver solutions that meet client specifications

· Make best fit recommendations regarding the best technology fit for a solution

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in ComputerScience (MS, Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.)

· 7+ years experience building successful Front-End presentation layer for various software systems

· Familiarity with the Java environment

· 3-4 years experience managing front-end development teams

Key Technical Skills - Expert Level at the following :
1. Javascript
2. JQuery
3. Actionscript
4. HTML / XHTML
5. CSS
Key Technical Skills – Good knowledge of the following :
1. JSP
2. JSTL
3. XML
4. XSLT
Preferred Skills
1. Familiarity with various version control systems (CVS, svn etc)
2. Has a clear understanding of video encoding and different compressions for the web. (FLV, F4V, MP4, etc)
3. Can work with various browser based, developer tools. (Firebug, IE Developer Tools etc)
4. Is familiar with cross-browser, cross-platform compatibility issues and how to resolve them.
5. Experience in various CMS systems
