Position Summary
The open source web developer will take on new development initiatives and platform enhancements for GameOn program. They will research and recommend appropriate technologies, code said experiences, work closely with, user experience architects, designers, and supporting the business and user requirements by turning them into elegant and compelling interactive experiences.
Major Responsibilities
§ Hand-code clean ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from Creative comps and wireframes.
§ Collaborate with design and development teams on large-scale projects as a subject-matter expert in application development.
§ Ensures that all project-related tasks have been performed
§ Effectively applies Sears best practices methodology and enforces design standards.
§ Ensures project documents are complete, current, and archived appropriately.
§ Ability to research, prototype and recommend software solutions.
Requirements
§ 3 - 5 years experience with the following technologies:
o ASP.NET (C# preferred)
o SQL Server
o JQuery
o HTML
o CSS
§ Experience with .NET 3.5+ (LINQ, and AJAX enhancements specifically)
§ Experience developing and enhancing modules for CMS packages (DotNetNuke preferred, but Sitefinity, Sharepoint, or other portals and CMS packages would be helpful).
§ Familiar with HTML 5
§ Understands computer science design patterns.
§ Familiar with Agile software development.
§ Comfort with maintaining a local web environment
§ Experience with Subversion or other version control systems
§ Excellent verbal and written communication
§ Self starter
§ Commitment to the project
Nice to have
§ IIS 7 administration experience.
§ XSLT experience.
