Cisco Voice Systems Engineer

Location: New Orleans, LA

Duration: 6 months

Rate: $55-60/hr

 

Required Skills:

 

• 7 to 10+ years of technical telecom experience in VoIP Systems Engineering and Support in enterprise environments.

• Certification in CCNP Voice or CCIE Voice Required.

-Demonstrated current working experience with the design, deployment and on-going management of Cisco IP telephony solutions.

•        Minimum of five years Cisco IP Telephony experience (Call Control, Voice Gateways, Messaging, Mobility, and Presence)

•        Strong overall knowledge of IP LAN/WAN networking and how telephony solutions converge with today’s communication methods.

•        Extensive troubleshooting experience required to solve complex IP telephony issues including but not limited to; call control, mobility, and presence.

•        Working knowledge of heterogeneous environments and the integration of Cisco environments to legacy or third-party PBXs or messaging solutions.

•        Extensive knowledge of telephony terminology and traditional telephony solutions.

•        Practical experience with the various Cisco messaging solutions version 4 and above.  This experience should include building, upgrading and maintaining Cisco solutions from the ground up as well as moves, add, changes and integration with legacy PBXs as well as Exchange.

•        IPT WAN and QoS design, maintenance and troubleshooting experience.

•        Skilled in using Visio and other network documentation and discovery software.

•        Customer satisfaction and client facing presentation and interaction required.

•        Experience with packet analyzers and root cause determination of IP voice quality issues.

• Skilled in using Visio and other network documentation and discovery software.
