This is a very  fast moving position. The requirement here is for a C++ developer on Windows platform (not Unix/Linux). They will arrange interviews asap for this position.

 

 

Title: Sr. C++ Developer

Location: Denver, CO

Duration: 12 Months

Client: Travelport

Rate cap: Upto $55/hr C2C

 

 

 

The Senior Software Developer will be charged with developing tools and technology to enable developers, testers, and operational support personnel test, monitor, and troubleshoot shared services and infrastructure components.

   

Detailed Description: 

This position requires the ability to work across Travelport's internal organizations including:  Development, QA, Performance Testing, Database Administration, Network Services, Technology & Infrastructure as well as with external vendors.

The position requires the ability to design and manage the integration of multiple software and hardware components across domains into a cohesive and functional system.

Research and apply new hardware and software technologies to reduce corporate costs and improve productivity and reliability.

 

Requirements:

5+ years of experience with MFC/C++ Windows development

3+ years of hands-on experience with Windows sockets

3+ years of hands-on experience with HTTP, XML, HTML and SOAP

Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking connectivity a must

Experience with Wireshark or other network trace utility a must

Experience with mainframe client/server development a plus

64-bit Windows development experience a plus

Familiarity with concepts/technologies such as Active MQ, Click-Once, InstallShield, XSL, EDIFACT, EBCDIC a plus

 

Familiarity with Continuous Integration Tools, Source Control Tools, SQL, JMS, Object Oriented Design, UML.

2+ years of hands-on experience in supporting commercial, high transaction rate systems.

Excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent problem solving/analytical skills

Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task

Effective written and communication skills

Proven systems troubleshooting skills

Ability to communicate and work with those with lesser experience and technically limited skills is absolutely necessary

Excellent understanding of object-oriented analysis and design

 

Education Required:

B.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems
