SSIS Development Skills
• 10+ years IT industry experience (total)
• at least two (2) complex data warehousing solution using the Ralph Kimball methodology and 4 years of Data Integration and Warehousing experience
• Data Analysis and modeling, including Kimball dimensional modeling experience
All SSIS ETL Staff must have the following:
• 1 project, and 1 year of Data Integration and Warehousing experience
• Ralph Kimball DW experience
• MS SQL Server 2005/2008
• SQL Server Integrated Services (SSIS) Expert 2005/2008
• Visual Basic
• VB Script
• SQL/Transact SQL
• Knowledge of Loading Kimball Fact and Dimension schemas
• Knowledge of Loading 3rd normal form Relational schemas
• Data Warehouse DBA expertise:
o Partitioning tables, cluster indexing
o DB/Table/Index Performance Tuning
o Create, maintain, multiple DBs and Tables, stored procedures, triggers, security schemas and roles, macros, views
• SQL Server Integrated Services (SSIS) expert:
o Full & Incremental Fact Dimension ETL SSIS package development
o Slowing changing dimensions of Type 1, 2 & 3
o Creating and processing Surrogate Keys
o Creating and processing junk dimensions, bridge tables, and degenerate dimensions
o Aggregate tables
o Data profiling
o Full and Incremental loads
o De-duplication of records
o Transforming Data
o Performance tuning of SSIS packages
o Robust SSIS packages with row counts, verifications, notifications, security, runs on test and production servers, ftp, file compression, indexing, constraints,
o Drop tables, truncate tables, create and modify tables within SSIS package
o SSIS packages executes Script Tasks using Vb.net, and stored procedures
• Experience scheduling and deploying SSIS packages by using package configuration as part of an overall ETL framework
• Experience documenting unique features of SSIS packages, DB maintenance, programs, and systems
• Power Designer or Case tool
• BrioQuery, Hyperion, Business Objects, Excel or MS Access
• Experience in Knowledge Transfer
The following skills are desired:
• Visual Studio .Net
• ADABAS
• Natural
• ADABAS Event Replicator
• Experience with Workers Compensation or Medical Insurance Processes
