Client: Financial
Location: NYC. (Initial Telephonic followed by Face To Face)
Position: C#/ SQL Developer/ VSTO
Yrs of experience: 8+ yrs
Rate: $45-47/hr
Project Duration: 6 months
C#/SQL Developer MUST HAVE VSTO (Visual Studio in SQL 2005)
Role Description:
- Collaborate closely with the back-end developers to design and develop the Foresight Excel Comps Tool in C# .Net and VSTO
- Interact with the business side to analyze and extract requirements
- Assess development effort and provide estimates. Adhere to the estimates and target timeline
- Conduct code reviews amongst the team
- Perform functional testing on the Comps Tool front-end. Address functional and performance issues pro-actively
- Collaborate with infrastructure team to package the software for deployment
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience developing user facing applications in C# .Net. Strong knowledge of VSTO, user interface components, and threading
- 5+ years of experience in MS SQL. Fluent with SQL queries, stored procedure, functions, and database performance tuning
- 3+ years of experience in Linux/Unix shell programming
- Good software development discipline: employ design patterns, develop unit tests, continuous integration
- Good inter-personal skills. Is a team player. Open for new ideas and suggestions. Willing to share his or her opinions. Receptive to constructive feedback
- Strong communication skills in reading, writing, and daily interaction
Desirable Skills:
- Past experience developing the presentation layer of research analytic tools integrated with Excel/Word
- Experience developing Silverlight application
