We have an urgent requirement of Sr. Project Manager with one of our direct client in MN. 


Location: Minneapolis, MN 

Project Title: Court Services Tracking System (CSTS) PM 


Estimated Start Date: 12/12/2011 

Estimated End Date:2/28/2013 


PMP Certification is required 


PROJECT MANAGER 


Description of Work to Be Performed and the Specific Skill Sets Needed: 

· Functionalities –project manage the re-engineering of the Hennepin County AFS correctional system processes and case management system where it pertains to the implementation of the new case management system. This includes, but is not limited to the complete installation of the MCCC's CSTS system, dependent system modification and integrations to support the new Hennepin County business model. 


· Manage the planning, assignment, and execution of tasks CSTS Project using Microsoft Project 2010 and Microsoft SharePoint and PMI methodology 

o Proactively manage changes in scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans 

o Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders 

o Provide, manage, and update an overall project plan 

o Define project tasks and resource requirements 

o Plan and schedule project timelines, tasks, milestones 

o Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path 

o Track project milestones and deliverables 

· Monitor and report on project progress to Steering Committee and Executive Committee 

· Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs 

· Lead and facilitate Steering Committee meetings 

· Coach, mentor, and motivate project team members 

· Work collaboratively with business and internal IT staff 

· Manage the overall coordination of efforts with STI, DOCCR IT, HJIP and other players 

· Assign tasks to CSTS Project Team in consultation with DOCCR IT, AFS, and COM management 

· Keep Project team on task and focused 

· Represent Hennepin County as the point of contact with the vendor, STI 

· Key Competencies: 

o Encourage teamwork and team environment (no siloes, no "technical" vs. business) 

o Know when and how to manage "analysis paralysis" and refocus team on key priorities 

o Skilled conflict management (i.e., ability to defuse tension among project team, should it arise) 

o Strong interpersonal skills required
