Need Java Developer/ WebSphere Application Server Consultant @ MN

We have an immediate requirement with our direct client for Lead JAVA Developer / Websphere Application Server Consultant

 

Position: Lead JAVA Developer / Websphere Application Server

Location: Minneapolis

Duration: 6+ months

Start Date: 1st Week of Dec 2011

Description of Work to Be Performed and the Specific Skill Sets Needed:

Migrate from Websphere Application Server WAS 6 to WAS 7 for in house developed application. This application is developed in JAVA and hosted on WAS. Currently client production environment is in WAS 7 and development environment is in WAS 6.  WAS 6 will run on WAS 7 however if there is a problem with their current environment they would need to bring production back to test to troubleshoot a problem there can be complications. They also need someone to troubleshoot any application issues until their application is sunset in early 2013. 

 

List of Deliverables, e.g. what the consultant(s) will be expected to accomplish:

Migrate our test environment from WAS 6 to WAS 7 to match production

Troubleshoot any incidents to the application until it's Sunset

Make any high return modifications to the application that the business approves prior to the sunset of the application.

 

Skills Required:

-JAVA

-J2EE

-WAS 6

-WAS 7

-Java Frameworks-Hibernate, Spring…

-Migration experience from WAS 6 to WAS 7

-Oracle
