Requirement:
Title: Business System Analyst - Equity Trading Support
Location: New York
Duration: 6 Months
Will join as the Solutions team member. Will possess strong technical skills, is a team player, detail-oriented, skilled-communicator (written and verbal), is able to work within a diverse and global environment, is organized, and is a self-starter. The candidate should have the ability to understand the complexity of software-systems and deliver application-components when required. A good understanding of the support and development lifecycles is necessary.
The role will require a high degree of client interaction and business knowledge; the candidate should be interested in learning about the business and gaining the required knowledge. An understanding of the financial services industry and specifically the asset management business would be advantageous.
Experience:
· At least 3 years of 3rd tier/in-depth support experience
· A BSc degree in computer science / engineering related-field
Core Technical Skills:
· Required: Shell/Perl scripting
· Relational Databases (Sybase/DB2/Informix)
· Advanced SQL
· Unix / Linux / Windows
Desired:
· FIX , Electronic Trading Knowledge
· Java & JSP
· XML / SOAP
· MQ
· .net / C#
· Informatica
Might be involved in:
- Developing enhancements and tactical solutions for end users of the systems.
- Developing internal tools to assist the application support group in supporting the systems.
- Assisting the application development teams with their global projects.
- Client relationship management
