EDI Developer

Rate: $45-$47/hr

Location: Austin, TX

Client: Avanade

Face to face interview following a phone screen.

Responsible for analysis, design, code, and testing of multiple components of application code across one or more clients/systems. Involved in maintenance, enhancement and/or development work of complex modules and those that interface with other applications. Has a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported. Required to participate in pager/on-call support.

Required: Weblogics, Oracle SOA, and Java.

It would be a real bonus if they had Edifecs Xengine experience.

This position does require a developer be fairly database savvy, although they do not need to know how to be a DBA writing optimized queries and keeping performance in mind as they are addressing DB issues that arise is important.

The EDI Developer Consultant is responsible for analysis, design, code, and testing of multiple components of application code for multiple Texas Medicaid systems using EDI tools such as JCAPS, HTB, and Edifecs Xengine.

Will be involved in maintenance, enhancement and/or development work of modules and those that interface with other applications with a required range of technical skills including EDI development, Java, weblogic, Oracle SOA suite, PL SQL, Unix basics, Windows scripting, and sub versioning tools.

Combines technical skills with knowledge of Texas Medicaid systems and business processes to develop effective solutions.

Will have limited client interaction.

Participates in pager/on-call support, deployment of production releases, and introduction of new services into production environment.

Helps identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
