J2ME consultant with Java/Android

Location: SFO, CA

Duration: 12 Months

 

Basically anyone with 2 years or more of J2me with Java/Android experience is needed.

 

Engineer will be responsible for design and implementation of a geographically distributed team in a creative environment.

 

Experienced professionals who are:

    * Are motivated team players

    * Are Good verbal and written communication skills.

    * Have solid experience in developing large scale product development.

    * Familiar w/ development processes and methodologies.

    * Significantly skilled in software development, debugging, and testing techniques.

    * Must have independently worked on a component delivery (end to end) i.e. taking requirements, converting into engineering deliverables and meeting them in time and quality.

    * Must have years of experience as a lead - owning a component development, sustenance thereof.

    * Must have demonstrated leadership by leading a team of individuals and steering them towards achieving the above.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

    * Responsible for design, development, modification and integration of new or existing software features.

    * Participate in design review and code review activities.

    * Create design documentation and participates in design review and code review activities.

    * Leads or independently executes small (or large - depending upon the need) project(s).

    * Be the 'Go-to-person' on the subject matter and provide technological insights (with prototypes when necessary).

    * Implement/Code software along w/ Unit Tests.

    * Responsible for day to day process improvement activities (e.g automation).

    * Responsible for team's delivery (review and acceptance).

    * Provide periodic (and as needed) status reports (including the team) and visibility into the project execution.

 

Skills & Experience Required:

    * BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science.

    * Proficient in algorithms and data structures.

    * High proficiency in Java/Android, J2ME.
