Jr. Java Developer (2-5 years of experience
Location: Lansing, MI (candidates local to Michigan preferred)
Duration: 6-12 months+
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop, debug, and deploy new and/or complex features and functions
- Enhancements and maintenance of existing capabilities.
- Fix problems noticed during testing
- Participate and deliver code and test results for review as required
- Follow configuration management plans
- Participate in integration/module testing
- Ensures highest level of technical quality, security, scalability, interoperability and stability in all products that are developed.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 or more years' experience in programming enterprise-class applications using Java Enterprise Edition / EJB3, JUnit and SQL
- Ability to work in an Agile environment and experienced and knowledgeable in the specified technologies
- Knowledge of applicable technology environments and infrastructures
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
Desired Skills:
Experience with any of the following technologies a plus
- Websphere Application Server
- Hibernate
- Unix/Linux
- Ant Job

Position Description:
The Coder 2 position is responsible for developing the Michigan SACWIS application according to the requirements and design specifications. The applicant must be familiar with the industry web-related standard concepts, practices, and procedures. Act as a subject matter expert in relation to the web development and support the Web practice. Define and implement industry standard practices for web development and maintenance per the MI SACWIS development standards. Develop, implement, and maintain web-based applications, interface programs and report programs. This position requires 3 years of experience working as a JAVA developer.
