MUST have SWING OR SWT experience with Under broad direction, will focus on
delivering key technologies to the overall technical software architecture.
The expertise may include functional understanding of business development
and well site delivery mechanisms. Using an understanding of the
technological advances in both the software industry and in the oil and gas
industry this person will challenge the technical software delivery process
to deliver fit for purpose software in a more timely manner. This person
will have had experience in leading software development projects especially
at a systems level and may provide Technical Excellence Leadership for more
than one team, providing expert guidance to software developers and support
staff. Provides a strong technical focus in product planning for a complete
software system. This person should sit on one or more industry groups.
Skills typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree
in Computer Science or similar discipline, and 10 years of related
experience. Completion of a masters in Computer Science or similar
discipline is preferred. Do first level system documentation on completed
tasks. Write specifications for development tasks. Stay current on tools,
methodologies, technologies, and language features and provide technology
leadership moving the product forward. Maintain communication conduit to
other developers, documentation, and testing. Write quality software,
adhering to documentation and coding standards. Learn the product
sufficiently to perform integration testing. Actively focus on Health,
Safety, and Environmental issues. Incorporates Reliability and project
management techniques in all job processes.
Position requirements:
This is for a Migration Project to convert JAVA SWING to SWT. In addition,
we need the workers to have a MIN of 2 year RCP Platform experience.
Additional required qualifications: Deep knowledge of Eclipse/RCP platform
(Eclipse 3.x or higher) 5+ years developing Java User interface with Swing
or SWT, preferably both Prior migration from Swing to SWT very helpful OSGI
O&G Domain helpful Windows/Linux
