Role and Responsibilities
Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provides best practicing sharing within work group. The Performance Test Manager will provide performance engineering and testing project management, as well as, technical resource management for multiple IT and business critical projects.
Performance testing expertise requirements include a strong performance testing background, including but not limited to performance test strategy/plans, preparing test case, script creation/execution; monitoring, root cause analysis, and metrics reporting. This role will coordinate all performance activities and facilitate communication among various teams.
Some responsibilities are:
" Evaluate and standardize practices against industry best practices and recommend processes for improvements of performance testing.
" Communicate testing strategy and performance testing services for the project development teams.
" Manage the testing strategy, schedule, data requirements, resource requirements, testing scope, testing requirements, quality metrics and risk/mitigation plans as it applies to performance testing.
" Ensure that project team members understand performance measurement and analysis process.
" Develop and Monitor performance reports, dashboards and status reports to verify test execution including test and issue tracking, daily meetings, test summaries and test case movement progress according to plan.
" Manage communication plans for project testing issues in a timely manner to the project management teams and the customer, through standard project testing communication tools.
" Drive for exceptional test quality on projects while keeping test activities within schedule and scope and contribute to the testing process/tools standardization efforts.
" Manage multiple testing projects within the portfolio ensuring a common testing approach.
" Ensure adherence to testing governance standards and processes.
" Manage stakeholders, internal customers and other groups and work in collaborative fashion.
" Build efficiency in testing and continuous improvement of test methods, techniques and process.
Basic Qualifications
" Minimum 4 years application performance test experience.
" Strong background implementing and using industry standard performance testing tools data, analysis, reporting, process, business, technical, hardware, software
" Consultative, collaborative, creative, problem-solving, competent, self-managing, trustworthy, dependable, service-oriented, and multi-disciplinary
" Minimum of 2 years of automation experience
" Experience creating and executing performance evaluation and improvement/remediation plans
" Experience in a multitude of technologies, protocols, architectures, infrastructures, operating systems, networks, hardware, software and all of its integration
" Experience with client-server, GUI, security, web, and mobile technologies
" Experience working with multiple stakeholders and business units in orchestrating performance tests and identifying bottlenecks
" Excellent communication skills with all levels inside and outside an organization with the ability to seek and understand the risks and implications related to the business, applications, systems, projects, and application/system users
Desired Qualifications
" Prior DMV and/or government experience
" Bachelor's degree preferred in MIS, computer science, or mathematics
