.Net Developer
Location: Richmond, VA……. Candidates Must be US Citizens, Green Card holders or EAD candidates……
Duration: 6 months
Rate: $50/hrc2c
This role is responsible for programming complex, multi-tier front and backend applications, as well as proving operational support for existing programs.
You will also be responsible for providing technical expertise to the team and organization.
This person will report to the US based Head of IT and work closely with a senior developer.
Responsibilities:
· Design and implement robust, maintainable and efficient code.
· Provide technical knowledge within department in an Agile working environment.
· Help monitor and manage Scrum artifacts such as velocity, burn down, backlog etc. to ensure continuous delivery of functionality.
· Work with developers to code review, ensuring best practice, and to be sure that all processes and coding standards are adhered to.
· Deliver projects on time and within defined processes and standards.
· Plan, coordinate and assist with integration and system testing.
· Help identify training gaps and development needs within the team, feeding back requirements to senior developer.
· Ensure relevant documentation is produced to support any change you implement.
· Continuously review standards and processes, and champion and implement improvements identified.
· Identify training needs and using internal and external resource, proactively develop understanding, knowledge and skills relating to your role.
· Proactively demonstrate new ideas and innovation.
· Liaise at all levels of the business, including communicating with non-technical staff.
· Perform other related duties.
Qualifications:
o Ideally 3-4 years of experience as a C# developer within a Microsoft.Net environment, to include .Net 4, WCF, Entity Framework, Unity Dependency Injection, Rhino Mocks & Moles.
o Preferably 2 years of experience with SQL Server (2000 or above), ideally with exposure to SSIS and SSRS.
o Minimum 2 years of experience of web development on the .Net platform, ideally with exposure to the Microsoft MVC framework, JQuery, XML and XSLT.
o BA in computer science or related discipline a plus
o Microsoft development accreditation highly desirable.
o Experience of Microsoft VSTS and TFS.
o Understanding of enterprise-scale development technologies and issues (e.g. service bus, testability, redundancy and scalability, MSMQ, IIS Hosted Services, including bindings, transports etc).
o Experience of working in an Agile Scrum environment would be beneficial
