We have an immediate requirement with our direct client for a Data Warehouse Developer. Must have familiarity with RSI Portfolio Warehouse 3.1 and Embarcadero DT Studio.
Position: Data Warehouse Developer
Duration: 3 months with extensions possible
Location: Columbia, South Carolina
SKILLS REQUIRED:
The successful candidate will have, at minimum, the following skills:
- Experience and expertise in software installation and implementation.
- Experience and expertise in software testing; familiarity with testing methodologies and preparation of test plans.
- Experience and expertise in isolation and diagnosis of software defects, including use of diagnostic tools such as monitors and traces.
- Experience and expertise in gathering and analyzing business user requirements.
- Proficiency in Java development.
- Experience and expertise in SQL, including development of T/SQL queries and data manipulation. Expert knowledge of databases and relational database concepts. Experience with SQL Server 2005 required.
- Experience with Windows XP operating system and the Windows 2003/2008 server environment.
- Experience with Data Warehouse concepts, including the use of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tools and creation of data marts.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with business users, management, vendors, and peers.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills. Ability to complete assignments on time.
- Understanding of deployment methodology concepts including design, build, testing, and deployment.
The individual will operate with very limited supervision, within standards and processes established for the Data Warehouse and over-all Agency and IRM procedures. The systems include extremely sensitive and confidential information; position requires complete discretion and trustworthiness. The individual must be customer oriented, and attentive to the needs of Data Warehouse users.
