Need Certified Information Security Engineer @ NC

Hi,

 

We have an immediate requirement with our direct client for Information Security Engineer

 

Contract Position: Information Security Engineer

Location: Raleigh, NC


Duration: 6 months+

 

 

DUTIES

· Responsibilities include supporting the Security Operations Center in monitoring real time data, discovering security events, analyzing qualified events, recommending a remediation path and escalating the security event to the Chief Information Security Officer or the designee

· Security Operations Monitoring, taking appropriate steps for alerts or action.

· Maintain & support defensive security infrastructure in direct support for client's Security Operations Center (SOC).

· Assists in advanced network security assessments & intrusion analysis with an eye towards identifying causal events or instrument new signatures or detection mechanisms to detect & prevent future incidents.

· Analyzes outputs from various security devices, incidents, & malware reports to devise new & creative ways of detecting & stopping future incidents.

· Evaluate, recommend & implement new monitoring technologies, processes & methodologies that directly intertwine with monitoring a large enterprise.

· Maintain & continually evaluate cyber threat intelligence sources for changes that increase overall effectiveness & timeliness.

· Performslog monitoring & threat monitoring, taking appropriate steps for alerts or action.

· Report findings, & provide countermeasure recommendations & business cases based on standard security principles, policies, standards & industry best practices.

· Work with systems administrators' campus-wide to manage vulnerabilities associated with information technology assets or applications.

· Manage & validates security compliance checks to ensure that "in production" or "new" systems or applications comply with client's Information Security Policy.

· Assist in performance of certification & accreditation activities.

· Participate in security incident response team & provides related subject matter expertise.

· Perform investigations & forensics analysis to assist with security incident response/management or to support HR/Legal investigations.

· Participate in penetration testing, & leverages results to improve security posture of the organization.

 

Skills/ Experience Required

· Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a broad range of related technologies such as: Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), log analysis, malware analysis, understanding network traffic flow, network traffic and packet analysis.

· Minimum of three (3) years of experience with information security, related technologies, concepts & methodologies

· At least one of the following certifications:
• CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CEH, GCIA GCIH, CCNA/CCNP, CCSP, MCSE, (ArcSight ACIA, ACSA)
