I have an urgent need for a Java Developer who can go for a direct F2F in West Chester, PA. The client is looking to hire immediately. Below are the job details

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision will perform the following:

• Develop new or revised software applications, ensuring code is maintainable, supportable and performs upon implementation and which meets design specifications.
• Design / develop user-interfaces.
• Enhance, develop, and validate application components and services.
• Effectively develop application software using industry standard software design methodology, framework & technical architecture standards.
• Analyze and resolve environmental execution errors.
• Participates in the development of complex, quality Functional and Design Specifications on time and within budget that meets or exceeds client requirements.
• Assess change requests to determine application functionality and business workflow impacts.
  Ability to document and present complex business issues both written and verbal appropriate to target audience.
• All new or revised applications development will be performed with the goal of zero defects.
• Manage own task estimates, accurately and consistently utilizes time accounting tools to report actual hours and task status.  
• Communicate variances and/or obstacles in estimates or delivery dates to management in a timely manner.
• Prepare all required documentation following approved Life Cycle standards.
• Monitor application performance, recommends and executes performance improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• At least five years applications development experience
• Experience with industry best practices and standards of testing practices preferred
• Languages:  Java EE 5+; IBM Rational Application Developer (RAD); Spring Framework; JMS; JSP; ASP; HTML/CSS; Javascript; XML/XSL; XSD
• Server:   Websphere Application Server 6+ (WAS); Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)
• Database: DB2; Oracle; SQL Server

Specific Job Knowledge:

• In-depth working knowledge of Analysis & Design, unit test framework, approaches and techniques.
• In-depth working knowledge of data model and file structures and requirements gathering
• Ability to identify and understand business problems and opportunities
• Thorough understanding of Analysis & Design principles, techniques and languages
• Practical working knowledge of Test Environment and Configuration Processes
• Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills in both technical and non-technical terms
• Strong analytical skills, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and corporate culture
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining deadlines

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or certificate from an accredited association preferred, or equivalent training and experience.
