Role: Citrix Engineer (XenApps 6.5)
Location: Washington DC
Duration: 12 month plus contract opportunity
Candidates will have a phone interview first then a face to face interview is required.
Required skills:
- Collaborate with other teams
- Accurately maintain documentation as it relates to configuration, processes, asset inventories, topologies
- Ensure that the environment conforms to standards (industry and those set aside by the organization)
- Conduct regular health-checks on the environment
- Participate in the fulfillment of tier 3 service requests
- Ensure that efficient deployment processes and techniques are maintained for continue roll out of standardized configuration
- Participate in the evaluation of new features/enhancements and/or technologies that would improve user experience
Technical qualifications:
- Active hands on experience with Citrix technologies
- Solid understanding and hands on experience of Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, server OS, terminal services)
- Solid experience with Citrix clients supporting multiple client operating systems and devices
- Broad experience in the following software technologies:
o VMware
o Citrix XenAPP server
o XenDesktop
o Provisioning server
o Citrix NetScaler Access Gateways
o Tricerate Simplify Suite
- Exposure to other IT technologies and disciplines including networking, Thinclient and virtualization
5 years experience as a Citrix Engineer (work above Tier 3 level)
1 year experience as a Citrix Engineer supporting Citrix upgrades
Experience with Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and NetScaler
Experience supporting consolidation of Citrix environments
Willing to travel internationally, one to two times per year
Paid on-call rotation (Nights and Weekends) - once every 3 4 weeks
SSL VPN with Juniper a plus
