Senior Business Analyst - Thousand Oaks, California
This is an expert/lead-level job posting. Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Analyzes business partners operations to understand inputs, outputs, and processes, so that these may be improved with system solutions. Facilitates meeting discussions and keeps track of project activities. Translates and documents business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages the changes to put these requirements in place in a regulated environment. Develops required documentation and coordinates reviews and approvals using an electronic documentation system in accordance with prescribed standard operating procedures. Develops and maintains a Requirements Traceability Matrix that can be used to develop use cases and test scripts. Develops test plans and test scripts and may participate in testing. Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT, from initial requirements to final implementation. Works with developers to clarify requirements and to ensure efficient use of resources for the business team and the development team.
