JOB SUMMARY:
Senior data architect responsible for the database systems for both the deployment and sandbox environments required for optimal business analytics and decision management solutions.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter who can move with agility from back-end database/data analysis to working in the front end business intelligence and analytical tool space and has demonstrated successful experience in this space.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Architect and develop conceptual, logical and physical data models for business analytics and decision management solutions
Architect and develop the ETL components to populate Business Analytics databases from source systems
Architect and develop operational databases required by the business analytics and decision management applications
Architect and develop analytics sandbox databases to support statistical analysis, modeling and data mining, etc
Explore and develop new solutions in collaborate with IBM Research to support new analytics initiatives, e.g., text analytics, big data, etc
Perform production and daily operations support for the systems
GENERAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong experience with enterprise data architecture and development
Strong experience with relational and dimensional modeling
Strong data analysis skills and experience with metadata
Strong experience with database systems, e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle & DB2, etc
Strong experience with ETL technologies, e.g., Informatica, SSIS, DataStage, etc
Experience with analytical software, e.g., cubes, SAS, etc
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle
Customer oriented
Ability to communicate well with the business and conduct requirement analysis
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Dedicated to completing assigned tasks and delivering high quality software under deadline
Ability to learn and apply new technologies and programming languages as required
Highly motivated to develop mortgage business knowledge
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related fields
8 years of professional software development experience
3 years of enterprise database development experience
1 year of business intelligence or business analytics experience
Experience in IBM business analytics and decision management software a plus
Experience in financial services or real estate related industries a plus
