Business Analyst with Pharma/Biotech exp at San Diego, CA
Summary:
• Assist the IT Business Partner in identifying and documenting specific business needs and determining solutions to business problems.
• Work with various research groups to develop Business Cases, IT resource estimates, and Enterprise Architecture Plans to advance IT capital investment projects.
• Capture and document business & scientific information related to IT planning and support.
• Utilize system analysis, data modeling, process modeling, requirement gathering, and technical documentation skills to support the RIS application portfolio.
Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
• Bachelor degree required in information system, computer sciences, or a related field.
• Minimal 5 years IT business analysis experience.
• Demonstrated experience of interacting with end users and analyzing complex business processes to generate business cases, requirement specifications, and other system documentation.
• Prior work experience in biotech/pharmaceutical R&D environment is a big plus.
• Strong technical writing and software documentation skills.
• Familiar with IT system analysis, project life cycle, and SDLC processes and tools.
• Knowledge of Java and web application is helpful.
• Prior experience with SharePoint is helpful.
• Prior experience with Madcap Flare is helpful.
