Contract Position: MS Access Developers (2 candidates required)

Location: Olympia, WA

Duration: 6 months

Start date: Mid March 2013

 

DUTIES

·         Assist in migrating seven custom built MS Access database solutions and developing enhancements to several of those solutions.

 

SKILL- EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 

·         Must have a proven track record working in MS Access 2007 and 2010 to design and develop database applications for workgroups.

·         Must have experience in all phases of the standard IT Software Development Lifecycle and experience in different IT environments (such as Enterprise, Small Business, and Government).

 

·         A bachelor's degree in information technology/computer science or minimum 5 years experience in Information Technology

·         Minimum 5 years' experience developing Microsoft Access solutions for workgroups of 2-10 end users

·         Minimum 2 years' experience developing Microsoft Access 2010 solutions for workgroups of 2-10 end users

·         Minimum 2 years' experience coaching junior level staff to support Microsoft Access 2010 solutions

·         Minimum 3 months' experience migrating Microsoft Access 2007 solutions to Microsoft Access 2010

 

·         Developing Microsoft solutions that involve data in SQL Server 2008 or 2005

·         Developing database solutions for natural resource or environmental management business functions

·         Developing Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 solutions for an enterprise greater than 2000 employees

·         Establishing processes and procedures for standard software development lifecycle management

·         Developing Microsoft Access 2007 or 2010 solutions involving complex table relationships (give specifics like the number of foreign keys participating in a given join table or the use of subtypes)

 

•         Ability to effectively contribute and work individually or as part of a team.

•         Ability to effectively produce in multiple IT disciplines, including requirements identification, business analysis, coding, QA testing, and system documentation.

•         Skills in system requirements specification development and documentation.

•         Strong communication abilities.
