Role: Storage IT Architect
Location: BLOOMINGTON, Illinois
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expertise for IBM 8300 and 8800 DASD technology
Primary reviewer and authorizerof 8300 upgrade changes and adjust as needed
Primary reviewer and authorizer of 8800 migration plans and will make adjustments as needed
Collaborate and partner with Storage architect and team members on the Platform Sector team to provide guidance and support for future direction/capabilities
Lead performance and capacity teams in establishing/increasing alerting, monitoring and capacity planning processes that are repeatable and well documented
Provide storage guidance on the impact of the combined workloads of the large application implementations and make recommendations as appropriate for adjustments
Technical Skills Required:
Deep understanding of IBM 8300 and 8800 DASD technology
Deep understanding and experience in performance and capacity planning of DASD technology
Soft Skills Required:
Excellent collaboration and communication skills required
Ability to lead and influence teams in a mature organization
Demonstrated ability to quickly integrate into culture and deliver results on time and with quality
