Active Directory IdM Consultant

Duration 6-12 months+

Location: Tampa, FL

ADFS experience

Experience with other SSO or LDAP technologies.

 

 

Primary responsibilities for this role include:
This position plays a critical role in providing high service levels and a stable IdAM environment. 

Responsibilities include building, installing, maintenance and support of Active Directory Federation Services, MS Forefront servers including:
Performing Daily / Weekly / Monthly tasks
Participate in the 24*7*365 on call rotation
Change Control
Troubleshooting issues that may arise with regard to Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services, Entrust IdentityGuard, Optimal IdM,
Performs all aspects of customer support and escalation by responding to support requests. This includes incident management /resolution and resolving service requests while meeting SLAs.
Defines common processes and procedures for the use of AD/ADFS
Install, configure and administer AD/ADFS/Forefront including multiple server instances.
Understand various types of application packages and Windows
Implements patches, updates, and fixes as suggested by external vendors and Risk Management
Liaisons with Development Services and to address issues related to the infrastructure
Develops utilities to automate repetitive tasks
Defines thresholds for monitoring various metrics of the application and works to implement monitoring
Works with External vendors open tickets for patches, updates, and fixes.
Responds to alerts that are generated, performs corrective action as necessary
Continues to refine/update utilities that have been developed to automate repetitive tasks
Updates system documentation including SOPs

Education and Other Standard Requirements
Four year degree in any business/ technical area or equivalent experience is preferred and four plus years relevant work experience.
Productivity, initiative, professionalism, customer service attitude, attention to detail and quality, ability to multitask, team focus, strong interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and adherence to firm and US IT standard operating procedures.
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Strong skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite/ Lotus Notes
Understanding of technology/software relevant to team
Must be willing to work overtime as necessary for day-to-day operations and occasional weekend or after-hours coverage.
Commitment to professional growth; seeks opportunities for development; expected to share knowledge with others.
Ability to develop work approach and project plans to meet client requirements, manage and monitor progress of plan
Familiarity or experience with Project Management skills
Ability to provide guidance to junior staff on support issues
Ability to resolve complex issues with minor intervention from manager
Ability to identify operational and process improvements
Ability to coach and mentor
Limited supervision required
Successful interworkings/customer service with other LOS and GTS groups
Successful team building

Managing Relationships with other IT groups
High level of customer support.
College degree or equivalent experience

Technical Acumen:
Should have good general technical understanding of web and app systems
Should have worked in an IT support group in the last few years – Enterprise level support
Should be able to interface to customers - to development groups, to support the integration of their application
Experience of working with other countries and/or global technology groups would be a plus
Microsoft ADFS experience
Experience with Entrust Identityguard
Must have an understanding of Federated Services
Experience working with Windows Server 2008 R2 would be a plus
Microsoft Forefront experience
Experience creating and maintaining Group Policy Objects
Strong understanding of DNS
Experience with creating and maintaining Active Directory Trusts
Must have basic PowerShell scripting and Microsoft server skills.
Experience with other web/application servers
Familiarity with Web server concepts and architecture
Problem determination and resolution
Experience with Optimal IDM
Must have experience working with vendors to resolve issues
QA process / Follow QA procedures
Performance measurement and tuning
Software installation and maintenance
Systems Management practices
Solid Documentation Skill
Solid Communications Skills
Experience with CA SiteMinder
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Directory Server
